Designed and developed collagen and suture delivery device for femoral artery closure.  Novel design leveraged existing company’s core competencies and significantly expanded intellectual property. Designed and developed both stand alone and integrated knot tying devices for femoral artery closure.  Designs enhanced existing technology and decreased procedure time. Created concepts for improvements of balloon based urological device. Created and prototyped concepts for improved diabetic needle hubs and caps. Designed and developed custom plugs and connectors for electrosurgical device.  Designs resulted in significant cost reduction of disposable device. Researched existing products and patents and designed and developed aftermarket truck accessory. Performed intellectual property and competitive product research for numerous clients’ product concepts.  Advised clients as to best path of product development based on research results and manufacturing knowledge. Successfully licensed novel bottle cap opener to major consumer products manufacturer.
